My Little Slice of Heaven

Posted by brenda

I have finally moved my site after several bad experiences with my last host, which was a *shudder* shared hosting situation. I also did the dedicated server thing for a while, but that got to be a bit too pricy for my personal stuff. Now, I'm with SliceHost, currently on their low end VPS for 20 bucks a month. So far, it's pretty sweet. I get root access, choice of Linux distro, unique IP, etc. It's completely unmanaged, too, which can be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective. I've set up Subversion, Google Apps for my mail, and all and all am feeling pretty darned productive.

Anyhow, I finally feel like I can put more effort into my poor little corner of the web. As time permits, I have many ideas that have been brewing for some time, more articles on Drupal half written, as well as just my own personal musings and exposing the various "hidden" areas of my site in a more public way.

I know, I know - this is waaaay too exciting!! Back to your regularly scheduled web browsing.

I have not checked them in a long time, and seems the prices have gone down too, so worth checking.

How is their support? Responsive? Consistent? Weekends? Erratic?

I switched over to them from shared hosting not so long ago and I have been loving it so far. I'll be glad to see you pumping out some more Drupal articles too. :-) Rock on!
